Can you tell us about how you got started in photography?

My friend and I started a photography business photographing local families and doing portraits/event photography when we were in highschool, now 10 years later it is a part of my job as creative director to have soft skills.

What was your passion driving you during your journey?

Who or what prompted you to begin?

My passion was professional sport and athletics continue to shape work ethic, aesthetic and emotional depth.

Could you walk us through your photoshoot planning process?
I paint the patterns on the garments, then Parker my guy at the fabric place prints them, then I design the garment & then Robert and his team sew the ready to wear garments - The other garments I hand sew with a needle and thread. I then scout the models, then I style the outfits + accessories and come up with a small conceptual ideal for each fit/look.
Either the place inspires the fit/look or the look inspires the place it really depends on the particular garment. I use a soft 7rII hand held camera and a 1 M 3.32 meter lens. The camera is double mirrored and best for video. I edit/retouch all the photos into a series.

As a photography expert, what sets your work apart from other photographers?

I don’t think anything sets me a part - actually aim to have a unique perspective and way of looking at ideas and issues which translates into my editorials.

Where do you get your ideas for photoshoots?
People places things experiences ect. are all inspirational.

Can you tell us about the most memorable moment you've had as a photographer and what experience you gained from that?

I don’t know - one wasn’t more memorable over another, I do believe in letting the energy flow through you as to where you I or anyone is able to get in the zone and create authentically.

What are the most important components of an extraordinary photograph, in your opinion?

Balance and a point of visual interest which draws you in.

How do you strike a balance between your artistic expression and your client's expectations during a shoot?

When I do work with clients, I am clear with my abilities and don’t have any clients with unreasonable expectations.

How do other artists influence your work? Are there any other photographers you look up to? Who?

No. Everyone is an artist - I am more interested in their process.

How do you enhance your vision after a session by post-processing your photos? Do you have a best-kept secret for editing processing that you'd like to share?

No secrets to successful editing.

Can you tell us about the most difficult photographic challenge you've ever had, including lighting, unexpected situations, and how you managed the issues on set?

Skiing + hiking down 12,000 vertices + paragliding ect. Have all been challenging because there are a lot of unknowns variables with action oriented sets.

What are your top tips for aspiring photographers on skill development and finding their own creative voice? How did you develop yours?

Just keep creating.

What is your favorite piece of work you've ever shot?
In submission are some of my favorites.

Can you tell me about an upcoming project you're working on and the idea behind it?

2027 Fera Poppies collection. Classified.

Can you tell us the story behind creating the photographs you submitted?

Where can we view more of your work and connect with you?
