Marianna Fricke: Title: “Duality in Violet”

CALEB SCHAFTLEIN,

Could you please give us a little introduction and tell us about your first experience with modeling?

I was discovered at the age of 16 in London, quite unexpectedly, at Victoria Station. Two women from a modeling agency approached me, and within the same week I was attending three castings. It all happened very organically and quickly, which made the experience both exciting and surreal at such a young age.

How did you get started and where are you currently based?

After being signed by an agency in London, I eventually returned to Spain while continuing to work internationally. Today, I divide my time between Milan, Frankfurt, and Barcelona, which allows me to stay connected to different fashion markets and creative environments.

What was your first job as a model? How did it feel?

As a teenager, I had very long hair, which became a defining feature early on. My first jobs were for Lycra stockings and hair product campaigns. It was an exciting introduction to the industry and helped me build confidence in front of the camera from the very beginning

Besides modeling, what else are you passionate about?

Art plays a very important role in my life. I am deeply passionate about creative expression and strongly believe in the power of art therapy. For me, art is not only a form of communication but also a way to explore emotions and personal growth.

Is there anyone in the modeling industry you look up to? Who?

More than specific individuals, I admire professionals who maintain integrity and respect within the industry. I truly value those who set high standards through professionalism and strong work ethics.

What do you value most in a photographer who collaborates with you?

Professionalism is essential to me. I appreciate clear communication, mutual respect, and a comfortable working environment. A successful collaboration is built on trust, creativity, and boundaries.

What are your goals for your modeling career? Do you have any upcoming projects you want to share?

Like many models, one of my dreams is to appear on the cover of a well-established, iconic magazine. At the same time, my academic background includes a degree in Art, and my upcoming projects are focused on creating and developing my own artistic work. I see modeling and art as two complementary worlds that continue to inspire each other.
